Our corporate team of Executive Board members, Advisory Board members, Senior management, associates, and consultants include: Mr. Hank Selby spent more than 15 years in sales and management for Schenker, Inc., a leading international freight forwarder and customhouse brokerage company. In that position he managed import and export activities for all types of clients, from one-person operations up to Fortune 500 companies. His background also includes more than five years in international marketing as a trade specialist with the U.S. Department of Commerce.
He currently serves as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of Richmond teaching import/export transportation. He also conducts training programs for a diverse group of companies and academic institutions. Mr. Selby serves as the Vice President of the Richmond Import-Export Club and is a member of other international business associations throughout Virginia. He holds a U.S. Customhouse Broker's license and has had broad experience in Customs matters and procedures. Ms. Chris Lidberg is an independent consultant in the area of international banking and Letters of Credit. Ms. Lidberg has more than 25 years of international banking experience, most recently as Vice President at U.S. Bank where she was part of the International Trade Services Division. She was responsible for selling the bank's international products to both customers and prospects, and conducting Letter of Credit seminars.
During her 25 years in banking, 15 of those years were spent in the Letter of Credit area, holding various supervisory positions, later to manage the Letter of Credit department. MS. Lidberg went on to become the manager of International Operations where she was responsible for managing not only Letters of Credit, but also International Collections, Money Transfers, Cash Letters, Investigations and all Telex and SWIFT activities for the bank.
Mr. Joseph Robinson has 34 years experience in international commerce. He lived abroad four times, has traveled to 60 countries, and conducted business in 46 countries. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a BS in Economics; Master of International Management at American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird), and also a Japanese government scholarship at Tokyo's Keio University in Industrial Marketing Research. Postgraduate studies include West Point, St. Josephs and Sophia University.
Mr. Robinson provides export counseling to many large and small firms. He created and is the trainer of the highly successful Export Documentation, Procedures and Compliance workshop utilizing the nation's #1 shipping software program. In the past 18 months he has trained more than 300 individuals in 150 companies. He has held international managerial positions at a leading Fortune 500 chemical company, was Country Manager for a major American pharmaceutical firm in Japan, and was Vice President of a leading American-Japanese joint venture. He was President and owner of his own import business: Robinson Engineering Products Company. One highlight of his career is providing White House Executive Briefing to the President of the United States on NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Association. William J. Augello has had a 52-year career as a practicing attorney specializing in transportation and administrative law. Mr. Augello attended the Academy of Advanced Traffic in New York after receiving a degree in Psychology at Dartmouth College. He then obtained his law degree at Fordham University while working at his family-owned transportation consulting firm. He is “Of Counsel” to his former firm, Augello, Pezold & Hirschmann, P.C. of Huntington, NY, and was Executive Director of the Transportation Consumer Protection Council, Inc. for 30 years, and is now Founding Director. He continues to provide legal advice and expert testimony on transportation matters. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Arizona teaching transportation law, and is on the Faculty and Board of Directors of the Institute of Logistical Management.
He has been recognized and honored by Syracuse University (Harry E. Saltzberg Honorary Medallion), the Delta Nu Alpha Transportation Fraternity (Transportation Man of the Year), Transportation Lawyers Association (Distinguished Service Award), Colorado Transportation Community’s “Operation Stimulus” (Outstanding Educator of the Year) and by the Shippers National Freight Claim Council, Inc. (Past Presidents’ Award). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Denver University’s Intermodal Transportation Institute, and is a coordinator of transportation programs at the National Law Center for Inter-American Free Trade. He is listed in Who’s Who in America, and Who’s Who in American Law. Professor Augello has devoted his entire career to studying, teaching and writing transportation law subjects for transportation professionals, attorneys, students and paralegals. Transportation, Logistics and the Law second edition is his 16th text – probably his most comprehensive. It is frequently linked to Freight Claims in Plain English for readers desiring to conduct more in-depth research on a freight claim or carrier liability problem.
